Ashley Madison and Me

I started doing Ashley Madison in October of 2009 after my good guy friend asked me why I wasn’t there already. I thought I would just go and look. You know, like the Match.com site, or whatever, that says “it’s ok to look?” Well, if you know about AM, you know that you can’t just “look.” You have to make an account and then look. I went ahead and did that. I was so careful. I didn’t even use my real location, or anything that would identify myself if my husband should go looking.
I decided that I’d just have a cyber affair. I had a few before, and was pretty ready for another. What the hell, right? It’s just online….
I was pleased with the results. I had like, 30 responses the first day. I have to say, some of them scared the living shit out of me. Dudes, if you have ANY sexual reference in your username, you are an automatic “NO THE FUCK WAY” in my book. Just pick some username that sounds fun, be honest about yourself, and you’ll pick up chicks. TRUST ME! Bragging about your cock size, or how much you LOVE to give oral (meh!) in your USERNAME will send the chicks the other way. Ewww. Come on. Be classy. But I digress.
I flirted with quite a few, making sure that everyone knew that I ONLY wanted online flings. I had a few guys who were really fun, and fun to talk to. I cautiously gave out my name and email, but not my real name..ever. The chats started.
Dang! I was feeling like the popular girl in high school again! Woo hoo! Guys were making me feel like a sex goddess. I kept telling myself that they only wanted sex, and to remember that AM wasn’t for a “love connection!” Still, it felt good to hear that even though I was “voluptuous/Zaftig (wth?)” as AM puts it, I was EXACTLY what these guys wanted.
I have to admit, I’m pretty easy to chat with. I don’t mind talking about sex, and what I like to do. Actually, I think I could make a career out of it. i should look into that…
I weeded out the weirdos, and finally found two who piqued my interest: Anthony and K. Anthony is my friend to this day. K, not so much.

  1. Great first post! It's fun hearing how you got started.

"Zaftig" is a Yiddish term that basically means the same thing as voluptuous, but it's a little more subtle (at least that's my understanding.)

So . . . is it Beth or is it Beck?
